Implementation of a digital twin platform on a major river

The digital twin of an estuary integrated by Egis evaluates the navigability and accessibility of a major seaport by 2050, taking into account climate forecasts.
Against a backdrop of climate change, Egis is helping a major seaport to manage the waterway used by the merchant navy to access its infrastructures from the ocean. Using digital models and decision-support tools, the digital twin of this natural environment enables us to anticipate the consequences of environmental changes linked to global warming, as well as the consequences of changes in use linked to agriculture, shipping and the construction of new infrastructures that could impact the functioning of this ecosystem.
The aim is to maintain and improve access to the port from the ocean.
