Maintenance support platform for urban road tunnels in Switzerland

Located in the heart of a major European city, this 235-meter-long, two-tube tunnel is a critical node for the flow of road traffic. It was built using BIM methodology and designed from a 3D digital model.
Egis has developed a preventive and curative maintenance platform for the tunnel operator.
This platform takes full advantage of the digital models created during the construction phase. One of the main challenges in managing this tunnel is to keep the lighting, signalling and ventilation equipment in good working order. The operator wanted to ensure rapid response to incidents and continuous maintenance, thereby improving user safety and traffic flow.
The platform facilitates the management of all preventive and corrective maintenance operations, with a system that alerts you to potential malfunctions and schedules scheduled maintenance interventions. What’s more, it provides a real-time view of equipment status and events in progress, such as maintenance operations.
